2009 jersey extravaganza & northern Lights sale

April 1st 2008 saw Jersey breeders from across Victoria and southern New South Wales converge on Girgarre for the second annual Northern Lights Sale. Staged by the Northern District and Goulburn Murray Jersey clubs the much anticipated sale was an outstanding success averaging $3176. Many complementary comments on the great line up of in milk cows and high potential heifers were heard around the sale shed before the sale got underway. Top price was $6,100 for both Meldan Brookbi Babe ET and Rowantree Futurity Narcissus. Babe sold account Brendan and Melissa Scott and with huge bull mother interest was snapped up by the Dalbora Genetics Syndicate from Tennyson. Selling account Rowantree Jerseys, Narcissus had the crowd talking and will be heard more of, she went on to sell to Jugiong Jerseys, Girgarre.
